I Will Be There

The sound of Ashley and Jackson’s angry voices filled the living room of their hotel room. It was a rare occasion when they got in an argument. But they were both tired, and a little cranky.

“I don’t know what you what me to do, Jackson!” Ashley yelled.

“All I wanted to do was spend some time with you, when we’re not on set, I barely see you anymore!” Jackson yelled back.

“Oh, and I’m the busy one? You’re always on the road with the band!”

Jackson’s livid face softened, and then turned sad.

“Jackson, I don’t want to fight, okay? I’ll see you later, after the event,” and with that, Ashley left to hotel to go to the Donate A Dress charity event she was promoting.

As soon as Ashley left, Jackson felt awful. Ashley was right, he did travel more than she did, yet he was the one yelling at her for having no free time. He wanted to make this up to her. Jackson went to the store, and came back with dozens of roses and candles. He called the front desk, and told them to bring up the best food the hotel had to offer around 6:30. He was going to apologize to his queen the best way he knew how.

After getting everything ready, Jackson took a shower. There was still a lot of time left before Ashley returned, so he jumped onto the massive bed and flicked on the flat screen television hanging on the wall of the bedroom. It was on the local news channel, and Jackson was just about to change the channel when a breaking story flashed across the large screen.

“Breaking news! The building where the Donate A Dress charity event was being held has erupted into flames. Fire fighters are on the scene now, but there is no word on how many people are still in the building.”

The color drained from Jackson’s face. He was frozen, like a cold statue. He couldn’t move. It took minutes before he came to his senses and ran out of the hotel room. The only thing he could think of was the last words they had exchanged. Jackson sped down the street, and he could feel a knot in his chest tighten as he neared the building and heard the blearing sirens. He could see stacks of black smoke rising from the building, and he fought back the stinging tears he felt. He was vaguely aware of a police officer telling him to go back, but he got out of the car and ran to where some of the people in the building where getting looked at by paramedics. His eyes searched for the face he desperately needed to see.

And then he found what he was looking for. He spotted Ashley, covered in ashes with her usually smoothed hair wild, standing next to an ambulance. At the same moment, Ashley saw him and let out a little whimper. Jackson ran to her, and Ashley met him halfway. They embraced, and Jackson felt his whole world come back to together again.

Not wanting to let her go for even a second, Jackson whispered in Ashley’s ear, “I am so sorry.”

They stared into each other’s eyes, and Jackson knew she was sorry too. Her teary, but relieved, eyes said it all.

“Let’s go home,” Ashley said, and Jackson wrapped his arm around her waist and walked back to the car.

When Jackson pulled into the hotel parking lot, he shut off the car but didn’t get out. His green eyes stared straight ahead.

“Jackson…it’s all okay. It’s over now, and I’m here. I’m not going anywhere,” Ashley crooned, and took his hand in hers.

Jackson’s bottom lip trembled, and then he let out a sigh. He turned and kissed Ashley’s hair.

“I was so scared. I thought I lost you forever.” Jackson said.

“You have me forever, and nothing will ever change that. Not even a burning building,” and Ashley tilted her head upwards and found his lips. When they parted, Ashley found Jackson smiling, with his eyes sparkling.

“There’s something waiting for you upstairs,” he said with the smile Ashley loved so much. They walked hand in hand to their room, and Jackson opened the door and led Ashley inside. The room was filled with vases and vases of red roses, and every flat surface had a lit candle on it.

“Jackson, I-”

But before she could finish, she was scooped up into a passionate kiss.

Hey!

When I saw these pictures, I honestly thought I had lost my mind and gone absolutely delusional. I'm a Jackson girl, so I usually dont make a fuss about Rob, but I cant believe it! Taylors not the only one who has been working out! Rob looks amazing, and probably the hottest I have ever seen him look. He looks more like the Edward I pictured when i read Twilight. And Kristen running through the fountain, it's just so exciting!

New Moon Poster

current song: The Story - Brandi Carlile

Hey!

I just needed to get this out of my system, becuase I am SO excited about the official poster! I like it, I think. I'm always hoping for Jasper and Alice to be included, and I didn't expect them to be on the poster (not by a longshot) but it was still a small letdown for me. But that's probably just my intense love for Jasper and Alice talking though.  Also, on a more logical side, I thought that maybe Jacob should be in front of Edward. In my opinion, Jake is the main character, besides Bella, of New Moon. Yes, Edward is still VERY important to the story blah blah blah, but Jacob's like half hidden behind Edward. Other than that, I loved the poster. It has made me extremely excited for November, not that I needed any encouraging to begin with.

And on a side night, I was very happy with those 100 Monkeys pictures that somebody so graciously posted on the jasperalice community. Jackson's looking great! :).

How Far We've Come ~ Ashley/Jackson Fanfic

May 2nd, 2009 (06:21 pm)
current mood: artistic

This is my first fanfic! Any feedback would be lovely, and I hope you enjoy :).

How Far We’ve Come

The sun cast brilliant rays of light through the window of Ashley Greene’s hotel room. She woke up to the smell of coffee and a familiar guitar tune. She opened her eyes to one of the most pleasing sights she knew. There, sitting in an arm chair with his guitar, Annabelle, was Jackson Rathbone. Ashley’s life had become so much happier since she secretly started dating Jackson. Jackson crossed the room and plopped down on the bed next to Ashley, handing her a steaming cup of coffee.

“Good morning, darlin’,” he said with his deep southern accent Ashley loved so much. Staring deep into Jackson’s beautiful green eyes, Ashley always forgot her worries. Today was no exception. Only when Jackson hopped off the bed to pour himself a cup of coffee did Ashley remember what she had to do today.

Most people would love the opportunity to appear on Oprah. Ashley however, was very nervous. She felt uncomfortable answering the personal questions Oprah was famous for asking. However, her manager said it would boost her career, so she agreed.

As soon as Jackson returned to the bed, he could see the worry in her eyes. “You’re going to do great, babe. You always do.”

“But what if I say something really stupid?”

“You won’t. You’re gonna be beautiful, smooth, and perfect. I promise.” And once again, Ashley got lost in those emerald eyes that gave her so much confidence.

“You better start getting ready, Ash,” Jackson said looking at his watch. Ashley looked over at the clock. She hadn’t realized how late she slept. She didn’t sleep much last night, she was too nervous about the upcoming day. Jackson gently kissed her forehead before she got up and started the shower.

While Ashley was in the shower, Jackson went back and sat in the arm chair. He picked up his guitar and started playing a song he wrote for Ashley. Playing the guitar calmed Jackson down, and as much as he hated admitting it to himself, he needed some calming right now. Jackson was worried for Ashley too. Although, he wasn’t afraid Ashley would say something stupid, that wasn’t even a possibility in his eyes. He was afraid for a different reason. Jackson knew Oprah was famous for asking about a person’s love life. He hoped that topic wouldn’t come up with Ashley. They didn’t discuss what would happen if it did. To Jackson, if that question did pop up, it was a lose lose situation. If Ashley told Oprah and her millions of viewers they were dating, it would embarrass Ashley, which was the last thing he wanted. On the other hand, if Ashley denied the circulating dating rumors, it would hurt him, although he would never tell Ashley that. What Ashley wanted and needed was so much more important to Jackson than his own wants and needs. So, Jackson just silently prayed the topic of her love life wouldn’t come up.

****

Jackson said his last goodbyes and good lucks to Ashley backstage. He hoped his own nerves didn’t show. He was going to watch the interview on a television in the limo.

From the large flat screen television, Jackson saw Ashley practically dance out to meet Oprah, with a wide smile across her face. Jackson was proud of her. He was the only one who really knew how nervous she was, but in front of the camera, she projected nothing but confidence and joy.

She was almost done, when Oprah asked the question that made Jackson’s breath catch in his throat.

“So Ashley, one last thing before you go. Everyone wants to know, what is the deal with you and Jackson Rathbone.”

Jackson was afraid to look up at the television to see Ashley’s expression. It surprised him when he finally did. She looked almost…giddy at the mention of his name.

“Me and Jackson are really really good friends,” Ashley said, her voice heavy with sarcasm, and playfully gave the camera a big wink. She couldn’t suppress a smile, and the whole crowd burst into applause and a chorus of, “ooooohs!”

Jackson stood outside the limo, looking for Ashley on the crowded sidewalk. When she saw him, she ran into his arms. Again, that surprised him, and he looked at her with a slightly confused expression on his face.

“Jackson, I really hope you’re not mad. I don’t know what happened, I just didn’t want to deny it anymore.”

Then it was Jackson’s turn to break into a huge grin. “Ashley, I couldn’t be happier.” His smile started to fade. “I just don’t want you to feel…embarrassed…for being with me.”

“I couldn’t ask for a better guy. I don’t have to put on an act around you. You like me for me, and nothing more. And I couldn’t be any prouder to be with you.”

And with that, Jackson pulled Ashley into a deep kiss both of them could fill in the center of their bones, right in the middle of the crowded Chicago streets.

Hello :)

anxious

current mood: anxious
current song: Stray Dog-Rob Pattinson

Hello everyone :)

I am very new to this whole thing, I most of the time I have no idea what I'm doing. But since I don't have any entries, I though I would just say hello and introduce myself. My name is Kate, and I love Twilight. I found out about livejournal on ifelthope.net, which is an amazing website, and I have been lurking in the jasperalice community for quite a while. There, I got hooked on many wonderful fanfictions. I had some spare time, so I thought I would create my own journal. I'm not really sure what I'm supossed to do with it, but I'm sure I'll learn the ropes soon enough.

Not really sure what else to say, so I hope I'm doing this correctly..

Kate :)
